In a world where human rights abuses continue to fuel the HIV epidemic, a ground-breaking global policy agreed by EU foreign affairs ministers last week which instructs EU diplomats to defend the human rights of LGBTI people around the globe will offer a lifeline to activists and civil society organisations everywhere.
Activists in 26 cities around the world took to the streets on 26 June in an historic day of action to raise awareness of the harms caused by the ‘war on drugs’.

Representatives from Linking Organisations across the Alliance will join delegates in Lithuania from 9-12 June at what is the key event for all those interested in harm reduction programming around the world.
According to WHO and UNAIDS, Ukraine is home to Europe’s worst HIV epidemic. Every day 57 people are newly infected and 11 die of AIDS. Yet last year, for the first time in over a decade, new data shows that HIV incidence is now in decline.
