At the European Development Days last week, the Alliance participated in a session which debated how the post-2015 development agenda should build on and improve the current health Millennium Development Goals, addressing their shortages around equity, human rights, financing and ownership.
This World AIDS Day we are highlighting the urgent need to prioritise and involve young people in efforts to tackle HIV. Protecting, respecting and promoting their human rights, including their sexual and reproductive rights, is critical.

To mark World AIDS Day 2013, the UK Department for International Development has released an updated version of its position paper on HIV in the developing world, Towards Zero Infections – two years. The Alliance welcomes the pledges it makes but urges bold action to address the legal and structural barriers faced by those most affected by HIV.
