On 13-14 April 2011, Alliance Ukraine was invited to Brussels by the Stop AIDS Alliance to participate in a European Parliament roundtable on 'Drug-resistant TB and TB-HIV co-infection in Ukraine - what can the EU do to curb the threat?'

The meeting was organised by the European Parliament Working Group on Innovation , Access to Medicines and Poverty Related Diseases and hosted by Jan Kozlowski MEP (Poland, Member of the EU-Ukraine Parliamentary Delegation).

The panel included Zahedul Islam, Director of Treatment, Procurement and Policy at Alliance Ukraine, as well as representatives from the European Parliament, the European External Action Service, WHO European Region and MSF.

The event was attended by around 50 participants from the EU institutions, UN agencies and NGOs.
