Alliance at Family Planning Conference in Senegal

Aids Alliance

The International HIV/AIDS Alliance is pleased to be part of the International Conference on Family Planning in Dakar, Senegal this week.

We are leading and participating in several sessions:

  • Steven Sinding, Chair of the Alliance, is chairing a session on Family Planning and HIV: Strange Bedfellows No More
  • Beatrice Mutalia (Head of Africa Team) and Divya Bajpai (Senior Advisor on Sexual and Reproductive Health and HIV) are representing the Alliance at conference
  • We are showcasing our partnership with Marie Stopes International on linking SRH and HIV services (read more here)
  • Papa Magatte Ndiaye, from Alliance implementing partner in Senegal, ASBEF, is participating in a plenary session on family planning on the move

We are also delighted that Stephen O'Brien, Permanent Under Secretary of State for the UK's Department of International Develoment (DFID) is attending the conference and will be visiting Alliance Linking Organisation in Senegal, ANCS and ASBEF on World AIDS Day.
