The report, which was launched internationally on July 9 in New York, presents a coherent and compelling evidence base on human rights and legal issues relating to HIV.
When first launched, the Alliance welcomed the report, recognising its value to all organisations who work with communities and populations key to the dynamics of HIV transmission.
Christine Stegling, Associate Director Best Practice Unit and Senior Adviser on Human Rights said: “Despite the fact that the relationship between HIV and human rights has been understood, human rights abuses continue to fuel AIDS and human rights violations continue to exacerbate the impact of the disease. I am delighted that the Alliance is working with the APPGA and UNDP to raise awareness of the report and its findings to key UK stakeholders.”
