Alliance trustee recognised by World Economic Forum

Kanini Mutooni, founder of myAzimia.org and board member of the Alliance, has joined the Forum for Young Global Leaders.

The World Economic Forum this week announced their 2014 class of Young Global Leaders; a group of people selected to join a community of exceptional leaders under the age of 40 who have demonstrated a strong commitment to serving society at large.

Alliance Trustee Kanini Mutooni has been selected to join to the community peer network for her achievements and contribution to society.  She joins a prestigious group of alumni including Marissa Mayer, Chief Executive Officer of Yahoo, USA and Chelsea Clinton, Board Member of the Clinton Foundation

Kanini Mutooni, an Alliance trustee since 2012, is the founder of myAzimia.org, a software company that provides white label technology solutions for the crowd-funding, Peer-to-Peer lending and microfinance sectors. She has over 14 years of audit and risk management experience in the financial services sector.

Speaking about her selection, Ms Mutooni said: “I am very honoured and humbled to have been selected and I look forward to being a part of this amazing group of individuals making a huge impact on the world.”

Executive Director Alvaro Bermejo said ‘We are delighted that Kanini’s extraordinary achievements have been recognised in such a prestigious way.
