Commonwealth campaign success

Following a concerted action by our What's Preventing Prevention? campaign, the Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Ministers met in New York on Saturday 29 September and agreed to adopt in full the outstanding recommendations of the Eminent Persons Group – which include the prioritisation of law reform for a more effective response to HIV.

Anton Kerr, Head of Policy said: "This was by far the most contentious recommendation made by the EPG so its great that we helped to get it through. This is a moment we have been working towards for over two years – in our efforts to make the Commonwealth utilize its ability to support a more effective response to HIV."
