Alliance India has partnered with a core group of Indian NGOs that have pioneered programming for MSM, transgender and hijra populations. The Pehchan consortium includes Humsafar Trust, the Maan Foundation, SAATHII, Sangama, and SIAAP. They will provide organisational development support to CBOs working with these communities to increase the number of people who can access quality services.
Pehchan means ‘identity’, ‘recognition’ or ‘acknowledgement’ in Hindi.
