Aids Alliance

The Stop AIDS Alliance (SAA), a joint partnership between the International HIV/AIDS Alliance and STOP AIDS NOW!, is expanding its lobbying presence from Brussels to also include Geneva and Washington.

The Alliance has invested in the SAA since 2005 to strengthen the EU response to the global HIV pandemic by advocating with the European Parliament, European Commission and the Council for the development and implementation of comprehensive HIV policies and financing mechanisms in EU partner countries.

The strengthened partnership with out Dutch partners Stop Aids Now! based in Amsterdam will enable us to have a policy presence in Washington DC and Geneva as well as Brussels and Brighton, UK.

Marielle Hart, Head of EU Policy at SAA, will move to Washington to lead the extended partnership. In an interview conducted by STOP AIDS NOW! she responded to questions about the ambitious SAA plans.
