Mission, vision and values
We are united in one mission: Supporting community action on HIV, health and human rights to end AIDS.
We are committed to joint action that will lead to a world in which communities have brought an end to HIV transmission, and secured their health and human rights. This is our vision.
Our actions are guided by our values: the lives of all human beings are of equal value, and everyone has the right to access the HIV information and services they need for a healthy life.
Our strategy
HIV, health and rights: sustaining community action - 2013-2020 articulates our determination and our strengths as an Alliance.
The strategy focuses on achieving three results:
- Result 1: Healthy people
- Result 2: Stronger health and community systems
- Result 3: Inclusive and engaged societies
Linking Organisations will use this strategy - together with their own national plans - to shape their future strategies. The international secretariat will use it to develop our operational plan.
In 2011 over 2,300 community-based organisations received support from the Alliance to reach people most at risk and affected by HIV
