GALLERY: Standing up for our rights. PhotoVoice in Uganda

The Alliance and PhotoVoice joined forces to work with communities of LGBT people, people who use drugs and adolescent girls and young women in Uganda to enable them to confront the stigma and discrimination preventing them from accessing HIV and sexual and reproductive health services.

The project trained people from these groups in photography and then held an exhibition of their photos. Participants are all from community-based organisations part of the Partnership to Inspire, Transform and Connect the HIV Response (PITCH) project, which strengthens their capacity to advocate for the rights to HIV and sexual and reproductive health services for people most affected by HIV.
