Alliance website launches new global resources centre
2 February 2005
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
THE INTERNATIONAL HIV/AIDS ALLIANCE (the Alliance) today presented a new online face to the world with the relaunch of its website at www.aidsalliance.org. The completely redeveloped site aims to become the first stop for information and resources about community action on HIV and AIDS in developing countries.
As well as providing more information, case studies and images showing the work of the Alliances and its partners, the site also has training tools and resources for HIV/AIDS programming with new online ordering facilities for Alliance publications, plus email news bulletins, discussion forums, and up-to-date HIV treatment news from Alliance partner NAM.
Alliance Executive Director Alvaro Bermejo said:
“Our new website is another way we can make a significant difference to the global AIDS response. The site is being developed as a knowledge centre for community action on HIV and AIDS, drawing on the formidable experience of the Alliance and its partners across the world.
“The site will also play a key part in our external communications work and show the exciting and inspiring work that individuals and communities are carrying out to respond to the HIV pandemic.”
