Role of NSPs
A large part of NGO support work is about mobilising broader involvement for prevention, care and impact alleviation. This is essential if responses are to be scaled up to match the size and urgency of the epidemic. Capacity building is also vital to support the rapid mobilisation of quality responses by NGOs and CBOs engaged in these activities. In addition, an increasingly important role for NGO support providers is to bring NGOs and CBOs together to work in co-ordinated ways and advocate for change with governments and other sectors, with a collective voice.
