Pathways for children: Guidelines for communities working with orphans and vulnerable children (Khmer)
| Together with partners in Cambodia, the Alliance has produced a set of printed resource tools in Khmer, which aim to increase the effectiveness of communities and other local level organisations in their efforts to assist orphans and other children made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS.
This resource is primarily for use by practitioners at national and sub-national level in Cambodia. They include principles and strategies to guide work, as well as short case studies to illustrate ways of working with communities to put the advice into practice. The development of the guides followed a similar process to the 'Building Blocks Africa-wide briefing notes'. This process involved bringing together key experts from across the region to develop draft content, which was then translated, reviewed and revised in the local languages, while developing completely new guidance based on regional priorities.
They cover the following topics: Overview; health and nutrition; livelihood and economic strengthening; education and training; care and psychosocial support; social inclusion; and protection. For information about how to get a printed copy of ‘Pathways for Children' please contact: KHANA khana@khana.org.kh Please note that printed copies are a limited resource and are primarily intended for organisations working in Cambodia. |
