EU has a crucial role to play in the response to HIV/AIDS

A recent national-level consultative meeting, partly organised by the Alliance in India, confirmed civil society as an important partner of the Indian government in shaping an effective response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

The appointment of new directors to lead the International HIV/AIDS Alliance’s three new secretariat departments has now been completed. The new structure is a result of wider organisational changes which are aimed at enhancing the Alliance’s programme quality and policy influence.
Providing comprehensive HIV prevention and treatment services, building health systems, and supporting the engagement of communities will be crucial to achieve universal access to life-saving anti-retroviral treatment.
