| This is a training toolkit presenting a participatory community assessment (PCA) process, from PCA to project design, focused on MSM in North Africa and the Near East. This guide is aimed at facilitators and includes tools and exercises for gay and other MSM participants.
This guide was developed through workshops that took place over the course of one year in consultation with MSM and other experts. The guide was also field-tested in Lebanon, Tunisia and Morocco. The first volume describes the basic principles, processes and tools for preparing, facilitating and documenting a participatory community assessment with MSM.The second volume focuses on analysing the data collected during the PCA, presenting the data to the stakeholders and writing PCA reports.The third volume guides facilitators through the project design phase for an MSM HIV/STI prevention project based on the MSM needs identified during the PCA.If you have any comments or questions on this guide, don’t hesitate to contact Elodie Brandamir, Project Support Officer, Africa Team, at the following address ebrandamir@aidsalliance.org. |
