The Alliance at AIDS 2006

05 September 2006

The Alliance was a visible player at the International AIDS Conference, with members of the delegation involved in a wide range of sessions throughout the conference – running satellites, chairing sessions, leading skills building workshops and giving presentations. The Alliance also participated in a wide range of other sessions, acting as official speakers, raising questions, making contributions from the floor, and meeting a range of donors and policy makers outside the official programme.

The Alliance also had an exhibition stand at the conference which was a busy focal point for the Alliance throughout the week. As well as allowing us to distribute Alliance tools and resources and talk about the work of the Alliance to a broad range of participants, there was also the opportunity to get feedback and reflect on our work.

The Alliance also took the opportunity to bring together all the delegates present from across its country offices and linking organisations to strengthen links, share experiences and discuss a number of potential future projects, at two meetings during the week.

Reports on the Alliance’s satellites and events at the conference are available from our conference blog at http://aidsalliance.typepad.com/aids2006.
