The Alliance commissioned this study to improve understanding of the dynamics of World Bank financed projects concerning civil society organisations (CSOs) and key populations (KPs). The study assesses the extent to which World Bank projects are supporting civil society organisations to reach key populations (men who sex with men, sex workers, injecting drug users and people living with HIV) in Latin American and the Caribbean. The study has two main outputs:
The Alliance is committed to supporting universal access by 2010. To reach universal access, funding and technical support agencies must act in coordination and communities most at risk must be prioritised in HIV resource allocation. The study has information relating to 13 World Bank projects: ten in the Caribbean and three in Latin America |
