Commitments by G8 nations to achieve universal access to HIV treatment by 2010 face being undermined by the monopolies of big pharmaceutical companies and pressure exerted on developing countries not to use TRIPs flexibilities.

In preparation for Round 7 of the Global Fund’s grants, the Alliance and partners have prepared new guidelines to encourage the development of proposals that integrate sexual and reproductive health into HIV activities.

Vía Libre and the Instituto para el Desarrollo Humano, non-governmental organisations working in Peru and Bolivia respectively, have become linking organisations in the International HIV/AIDS Alliance, helping to make even more of a difference to those affected by HIV in the Andes region, and across affected countries worldwide.
