National meeting on HIV/AIDS and sexual and reproductive health convergence: evidence for implementation

The Alliance has met with PATH, Engender Health and the Population Council in India to share key findings of their programmes and research studies related to HIV and sexual and reproductive health integration, and to generate evidence for implementation.

The national meeting on HIV/AIDS and Sexual and Reproductive Health Convergence: Evidence for Implementation was well attended by representatives from the World Health Organisation, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the Department for International Development (DFID), CDC, the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and the Packard Foundation, as well as Government of India officials and other key stakeholders.

Alliance India’s country director presented the programme findings of its DFID-supported project Community-Driven Approaches to Address the Feminisation of HIV/AIDS in India. The Alliance also facilitated a session on addressing the sexual and reproductive health needs of people living with HIV.
