The mission of the International HIV/AIDS Alliance is to reduce the spread of HIV and meet the challenges of AIDS. Our vision is a world in which people do not die of AIDS. Since 1994, the Alliance and its partners have supported over 3,000 projects, in over 40 countries, reaching millions of people.

We have a vacancy for a Program Officer: Eastern Europe and Central Asia to help carry forward our programme work in 4 countries of central Asia region: Kazakhstan, Kyrgizstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

In Eastern Europe and Central Asia, the Alliance supports HIV and AIDS programmes in Ukraine, Mongolia Kazakhstan, Kyrgizstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The post holder is responsible for developing, co-ordinating and monitoring country programmes; managing and/or providing technical support to meet identified needs; writing funding proposals, country reports and donor reports. The successful candidate will be an experienced Programme Officer/ Manager with good knowledge and experience of HIV and AIDS programming in the sub-region who possesses the right mix of skills and experience in programme development, programme management and donor liaison. S/he should have excellent English and Russian communication skills both verbally and in writing.
