Results of the Alliance's electronic communications survey
29 July 2008
A big thank you to all of you who answered our electronic communications survey last month!
Over 580 people responded to the survey, which covered the Alliance’s website, our electronic newsletter The Loop, and accessing and ordering publications online.
90% of respondents said they were satisfied or very satisfied with the Alliance’s website. 81% of respondents agreed that the content of the Alliance’s website www.aidsalliance.org was useful, with 65% saying the site was a key source of knowledge and expertise on community responses to HIV.
The most common reason for visiting the Alliance’s website was “to access publications and resources to help my HIV work” (74.5%). 88% of respondents were satisfied or very satisfied with the publications area of the Alliance website. 72% of people find it easy to find the publication they are looking for, and 70% find the summary information about publications useful.
Of those who subscribe to The Loop, nearly 9 out of 10 people were very satisfied or satisfied with it. 76% agreed that it was interesting to read, and 73% said that the content was useful to them. 91% said the level of detail was about right.
“Respondents gave us useful, practical suggestions about how we can make our electronic communications even more effective,” said the Alliance’s Head of Communications, Simon Moore. “We are very grateful for the feedback and for the high number of respondents who offered to continue supporting us through an Alliance communications testing panel.”
“We are now analysing the responses in more detail and looking at what changes we can make to ensure that the Alliance’s electronic communications continue to build the skills of people to respond more effectively to the epidemic.”
