Staff and structure

The Alliance employs 120 staff in its secretariat in Brighton, UK. Members of staff are drawn from Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America. They are experienced in non-governmental organisations, the private sector, donor agencies, academia, the United Nations system and medical practice. The secretariat is organised in the following way:
- Communications and resource mobilisation department
- Executive director's office
- Field programmes department
- Finance and administration department
- Policy department
- Technical support department.
The Alliance employs another 200 staff in country offices in the Caribbean, China, India, Madagascar, Mozambique, Myanmar, South Sudan, Uganda, Ukraine, and Zambia.
