KHANA annual report 2002

Participation, Hope, Action – Mobilising communities to respond to HIV/AIDS Participation, hope, action: Mobilising communities to respond to HIV/AIDS (KHANA annual report 2002) (English) 665.9Kb
Cambodia is one of the poorest countries in the world, with the highest HIV prevalence in Asia. Limited access to testing means that many Cambodians do not know their status, and those who do test HIV positive have little access to care and support services and often face stigma and discrimination.

This annual report details the work of the Alliance’s Cambodia linking organisation KHANA in 2002. It describes KHANA’s approach, which has focused on a series of themes: strengthening capacity, documenting good practice and sharing lessons learned, strengthening strategic alliances, developing approaches to HIV prevention, scaling up care and support, working with young people, and with men who have sex with men, and challenging stigma.
