An evaluation of the MoH/NGO home care programme for people with HIV/AIDS in Cambodia An evaluation of the MoH/NGO home care programme for people with HIV/AIDS in Cambodia (English) 2.25Mb
In 1998, the Cambodian Ministry of Health (MoH) established a partnership with a group of NGOs to set up an HIV/AIDS home care programme. This report presents the results from an evaluation of the two years of the service. It was written by the Alliance’s Cambodia linking organisation KHANA, in consultation with the MoH and the National Centre for HIV/AIDS, Dermatology and STDs. The report estimates the programme costs and cost savings to people living with HIV/AIDS and their families. It then identifies the key components to consider when replicating or scaling up this approach. Topics include evaluation activities, reducing discrimination and cost implications for households.
