Developing HIV/AIDS workplace medical benefits policies – draft summary
| Developing HIV/AIDS workplace medical benefits policies (English) 219.3Kb | |
| People living with HIV/AIDS can face stigma and discrimination at work and, where they do not have access to anti-retroviral treatment, illness can affect their attendance. Following on from the International Labour Organisation’s Code of Practice, HIV/AIDS and the World of Work, this draft report describes the process of developing policies on HIV/AIDS in the workplace and medical benefits with Alliance linking organisations in Cambodia, Senegal and Burkina Faso since 2002. It aims to help NGOs and other organisations develop their own policies. It includes a sample schedule for a technical support programme, sample workshop sessions plans, and sample policies. |
