As responses to HIV/AIDS are being scaled up around the world, organisations are establishing and expanding systems and programmes to provide funding and technical support to local NGOs and CBOs for HIV/AIDS work, and to promote co-ordination and partnership between NGOs and governments.

This supporting document contains introductions to the themes on the NGO Support Toolkit website. The toolkit is an electronic library of resources about NGO/CBO support, collated by the Alliance from a wide range of organisations. It addresses themes such as situation assessments, monitoring and evaluation, technical support and grant provision.

A version of the toolkit is also available to order on CD-ROM (see the related resources below).
