Building blocks process evaluation report

Building Blocks process evaluation report (English) 332.1Kb
By 2010, more than 25 million children are expected to have lost one or both parents to AIDS. Families and communities need support to help care for the rapidly growing numbers of orphans and vulnerable children.

Through a highly participative process, the Alliance developed the Building Blocks briefing notes and the Building Blocks in Practice toolkit to help communities assess the situations and needs of their children and available resources, and to identify what action they can take, using the “participatory learning in action” process. The Alliance’s research and evaluation team commissioned this research to assess the way these resources were developed, to inform its wider evaluation, and to learn lessons for future resource development. The publication examines factors such as the objectives, sampling and findings of the project.
