| Eastern and southern Africa are the two regions most badly affected by the rapid growth of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, and NGOs around the world are looking at ways to scale up their HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support programmes in these countries.
This is the report of a three-day meeting held in Nairobi, Kenya, 2001 that set out to address the questions and challenges around increasing the scale and impact of HIV/AIDS programmes in eastern and southern Africa. It includes case studies presented by participants, and offers eight strategies for increasing the impact of training programmes, including improving participant selection and catalysing and supporting others. |
