In the context of expanding provision of antiretroviral (ARV) treatment which is bringing improved health and new hope to many people living with HIV; ‘Positive prevention’ aims to provide a starting point from which NGOs and HIV service providers can support HIV positive people to lead  full and healthy lives.
 
This guide is intended as a resource to help NGOs and HIV service providers working across the spectrum of HIV prevention, treatment, care and support services to take steps towards integrating HIV prevention for, by and with people living with HIV.
 
It will also be of use to individuals living with HIV and  their partners. The
guide does not intend to discuss or review all HIV prevention strategies and  focuses largely on the sexual transmission of HIV.
 
‘Positive prevention’ has been developed by  Alliance HIV prevention programmes, as well as programming and policy of other organisations that are developing strategies and initiatives for HIV prevention for people living with HIV.

i do cetrainl think that people living eith the virus should be part of the core campaign pillars so as to really send a message to the uninfected world. We therefore need them on the forefront to possible world behaviour change

Its an excelent reference for expanding positive prevention in our ART program at our clinic. It will help us control even the early development of Resistance in clients already on ART once they adhere to positive prevention ways.

It is an excellent and encouraging publication because it will go a long way in providing care and support to the infected and it will also prevent those that are negative from being infected.Further more its inculcate a greater responses towards ensuring GIPA and MIPA within the various NGO and communities at large, certainly it will give sense of belongings to PLWHA.
